The James Thain Jazzmaster Set

£165.00

Developed in close collaboration with James Thain, these signature Jazzmaster pickups were designed to capture the clarity, dynamic range, and vintage-inspired tone that define his playing.

James Thain is a Scottish guitarist and gear enthusiast based in Aberdeen, known for his expressive style in worship settings, live gigs with artists and standout gear demos. With a following of over 18,000 on Instagram, his passion for tone and boutique craftsmanship has led to collaborations with top-tier builders- this signature pickup set being one of them.

Built around 15mm Alnico V rod magnets, taller custom bobbins, and wound with 42 AWG Formvar wire, these pickups produce rich harmonics, articulate highs, and a warm low-end response; the perfect balance of vintage soul and modern versatility. The increased bobbin height allows for a more dynamic coil structure, giving these pickups a fuller voice and enhanced sensitivity to your picking nuances.

Finished with minimalist white covers and vintage cloth push-back leads, the James Thain Signature Set is both visually refined and sonically inspiring — tailored for players who demand character, clarity, and musicality.
