The Green Stratbucker is a humbucker-sized pickup built from two true Strat-style bobbins. Each coil is wound with 6,500 turns of 42 AWG plain enamel wire and fitted with Alnico V rod magnets, giving it the same magnetic structure and clarity you’d expect from a vintage Stratocaster pickup.
On the bench it measures around ~9kΩ DC resistance and ~2.4H inductance, putting it in medium-output territory. In series wiring, the Stratbucker delivers a punchy, dynamic humbucker tone with more single-coil attack than a traditional PAF. Switch it into parallel and the output drops while the highs open up, producing a scooped, glassy response reminiscent of a Strat in-between position. Coil-splitting unlocks either bobbin individually for authentic Strat sparkle.
