Green Vintage Telecaster Set
The Vintage Set is my personal take of the timeless telecaster tone, combining the A3 Bridge and A2 Neck pickups to deliver a harmonious blend of bite and warmth.
With Alnico III magnets in the bridge and Alnico II magnets in the neck, these pickups produce an authentic and sumptuous tone. The middle frequencies are slightly subdued, while the bass and high ends are accentuated, resulting in that perfect jangle that telecaster enthusiasts crave.
The bridge pickup features a zinc plate to tame some of the traditional bridge's top-end brightness. It also boasts a black fibre board bobbin for an authentic vintage look, and the coils are carefully wound with string for added protection. The flat, non-staggered poles are flush with the bobbin, maintaining the pickup's authenticity. To minimise any potential microphonics, the pickups are wax potted in black lamp soot and paraffin wax. This process naturally dulls the sheen of the poles, as they were considered visually unappealing. However, if you prefer shiny poles, please let me know!
